City tour (Half Day)

Welcome to the City Tour (Half Day) of Muscat, the capital and most populous city of Oman! This tour includes entrance tickets to the Grand Mosque, a stunning architectural masterpiece known for its intricate design and beautiful gardens. Please note that the dress code for the Grand Mosque requires women to wear a scarf, full sleeve shirt and trousers, and men to wear long pants. Avoid tight and revealing clothes. The Grand Mosque is closed on Fridays, so if you book this tour on a Friday, you will only be able to take external photos of the mosque.

Throughout the tour, you'll be accompanied by an English speaking guide who will provide insight and information about the city's landmarks and culture. You'll also have the comfort and convenience of a private car that fits up to 4 guests. To keep you hydrated and refreshed, we'll provide you with water and snacks such as nuts or chips. As a welcome amenity, you'll also receive dates, coffee, and wet wipes.

Our first stop is the Grand Mosque, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about the Islamic faith and the role of the mosque in the community.

Next, we'll head to the Mutrah Souq, a bustling marketplace filled with colorful stalls selling traditional Omani handicrafts, spices, and clothing. Be sure to haggle for the best prices and pick up some souvenirs to take home with you.

Afterwards, we'll take a leisurely stroll along the Mutrah Cornish, a scenic waterfront promenade offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. Here, you can take a break and enjoy the fresh sea breeze while admiring the beautiful yachts and boats docked at the harbor.

We'll then visit the Mutrah Fort, a historic structure that has played a pivotal role in the city's defense throughout the centuries. Here, you'll learn about the fort's strategic importance and its role in protecting the city.

Our tour continues with a visit to the Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial palace of the Sultan of Oman. This grandiose building is a testament to the country's rich history and cultural heritage.

Finally, we'll head to the Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, two imposing structures that have guarded the city for centuries. Here, you'll learn about the strategic importance of these fortifications and their role in defending the city against invaders.
