Sur Coastal city tour

Welcome to the Sur Coastal City Tour! As the capital of the Asj Sjarqiyah South region in northeastern Oman, Sur is a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century. It was once a thriving center for trade with East Africa, and later came under Portuguese rule before being liberated by the Omani imam Nasir ibn Murshid.

Our first stop on the tour is the Dhow Ship Factory, where you can witness the traditional craft of building these wooden sailing vessels that have long been used for trade in the region. These days, demand for dhows is declining and only a few shipyards remain in operation along the western shore of the lagune.

Next, we’ll visit the Maritime Museum Fatah Al Khair to learn more about the history of Sur and its role in the region’s maritime trade. Here you’ll find displays of old maps, artifacts, and other exhibits that showcase the city’s past.

After the museum, we’ll take a ride on the Hanging Bridge, a unique feature of Sur that offers breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding area. The bridge is suspended above the Khor al-Batha lagune and provides a unique perspective on the city.

We’ll then make a photo stop at the Lighthouse of Sur (Al Ayjah), a historic beacon that has helped guide ships safely into the port for centuries.

After all the sightseeing, it’s time to take a break for lunch. We’ll stop at a local restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal and refuel for the rest of the tour.

Welcome to the Jabreen & Bahla Tour! Our journey begins as we pick you up from your hotel in Muscat and head towards the town of Bahla. Along the way, we will enjoy the stunning views of the Omani landscape and get a taste of traditional Omani hospitality with a welcome amenity of dates, coffee, and wet wipes.

Our first stop is at the iconic Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 13th century. We will take a photo stop to capture the beautiful architecture and history of this fortress.

Next, we will visit the bustling Bahla Souq where you can browse through a variety of local handicrafts, spices, and traditional Omani items.

After that, we will make a stop at a local clay factory where you can witness the traditional process of pottery making and even try your hand at it! The entrance to the factory is included in the tour.

We will then head to Jabreen Castle, another impressive structure built during the Al Ya’ruba dynasty in the mid-17th century. You will have the opportunity to explore the castle independently with an audio guide that is provided at the entrance and which lasts about 25 minutes.

After a full day of sightseeing, we will make a lunch stop on the way back to Muscat where you can enjoy a delicious meal and refuel for the rest of the journey. Along the way, we will also provide snacks like nuts or chips and water to keep you hydrated and refreshed.

Welcome to the Nizwa Tour! Our journey will take us to some of the most iconic and historical sites in the city of Nizwa, the largest city in Ad Dakhiliyah Region in Oman and a former capital of the country.

Our first stop will be at Nizwa Fort, a national monument built in the 1668 AD by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya’rubi. The fort was the administrative seat of authority for the Imams and Walis in the region and is now a popular tourist attraction. As we explore the fort, our English speaking guide will provide insights into its history and significance.

Next, we’ll head to the Nizwa Souq, a traditional market where you can browse and shop for local goods such as handicrafts, traditional clothing, and spices. Take the opportunity to experience the vibrant atmosphere and culture of Nizwa.

After the Souq, we’ll take a golf car tour of the Old Village, where you can see traditional Omani homes and learn about the everyday life of the people who live there.

After all that sightseeing, it’s time for a lunch break. We’ll stop at a local restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal and refuel for the rest of the tour.

We’ll make a stop at the Mutrah Fort, a historic fortification that dates back to the 16th century. Next, we’ll visit the impressive Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial palace of the Sultan of Oman. Welcome to the City Tour (Half Day) of Muscat, the capital and most populous city of Oman! This tour includes entrance tickets to the Grand Mosque, a stunning architectural masterpiece known for its intricate design and beautiful gardens. Please note that the dress code for the Grand Mosque requires women to wear a scarf, full sleeve shirt and trousers, and men to wear long pants. Avoid tight and revealing clothes. The Grand Mosque is closed on Fridays, so if you book this tour on a Friday, you will only be able to take external photos of the mosque.
