Shuwa food tour

Welcome to the Shuwa Food Tour, where you’ll experience the best of Omani cuisine and culture!

Your day will begin with an Omani breakfast “take away” of crepe bread with Oman’s chips and cheese, served with a warm cup of tea.

Next, we’ll make a photo stop at the beautiful Bahla fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its impressive mud brick fortifications and rich history.

From there, we’ll head to Jabal Shams, also known as the “Grand Canyon” of Oman. This stunning natural wonder features rugged mountain peaks and breathtaking views of the canyon below.

We’ll make a stop at a canyon view point to take in the panoramic views and snap some photos.

Next, we’ll visit an Omani house to see the traditional Omani meat shuwa being taken out of the pit. This is a favourite Omani recipe, where the meat is slow-cooked and marinated in a flavourful rub of spices, garlic and oil.

For lunch, we’ll enjoy a delicious meal of shuwa, a dish that showcases the diverse influences of Asian, African and European cuisines on Omani cuisine.

After lunch, we’ll visit an Omani sweet shop to try some of the famous Halwa, a rich and sweet dessert made with dates and nuts.

Finally, we’ll return to Muscat, where our tour will come to an end.

Welcome to the Mountain Food Tour,its a combination of sightseeing + nature and food , where we’ll be exploring the rich culinary traditions of Oman’s majestic mountains! Our first stop is an Omani breakfast “take away” of crepe bread with Oman’s chips and cheese, served with a steaming cup of tea to start your day off right.

Next, we’ll make a quick photo stop at the breathtaking Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Oman’s most iconic landmarks. From there, we’ll make our way to Jabal Shams, also known as the Grand Canyon of Oman, where we’ll take in stunning views of the canyon from a viewpoint.

Next, we’ll visit an Omani house, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn about traditional Omani architecture and culture. Then, it’s time for lunch! We’ll enjoy a live BBQ on rocks, featuring locally sourced meats and vegetables cooked to perfection.

After lunch, we’ll head to an Omani sweet shop to sample some delicious halwa, a traditional Omani treat made with flour, sugar, and spices. Finally, we’ll return to Muscat, with plenty of memories and delicious food to savor.

Our tour begins with a photo stop at the historic Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its impressive fortifications and intricate architectural details. From there, we will head to the Grand Canyon view point, where you can marvel at the breathtaking views of Al Nakhur Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of Arabia.

Jabal Akhdar tour

Welcome to the Jabal Akhdar tour, a unique journey through the stunning landscapes and rich history of Oman’s green mountain. Our first stop on the tour will be at Birkat Al Mouz, a fascinating old ruin nestled in the heart of the mountain. Here, we’ll take a coffee break and explore the ancient fortress, marveling at its painted ceilings and learning about the history of the Bani Riyam tribe that once inhabited these lands.

Next, we’ll make a photostop at Al Rudaydah Castle, a stunning architectural wonder perched atop the mountain. From here, we’ll take in breathtaking views of the canyon below and the surrounding landscape.
Afterwards, we’ll visit a local village farm for a short tour, learning about traditional agricultural techniques and sampling some of the delicious locally grown produce, including pomegranates, walnuts, apricots, black grapes and peaches. We’ll also make a stop to see the fossil fuel rocks, a unique geological feature of the mountain.
Finally, we’ll sit down for a delicious lunch at a restaurant, where you can savor traditional Omani dishes while taking in the stunning mountain views.

Welcome to the Misfat Al Abriyeen + Al Hoota Cave tour, where you’ll have the opportunity to experience the rich history and culture of this beautiful Omani village. Our first stop will be at the Bahla Fort, where you’ll have the chance to take some photos and learn about its history as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Al Hoota Cave, known for its stunning underground formations, including stalactites and stalagmites. The cave also offers a guided tour that delves into its history and geological significance. Next, we’ll visit the village of Misfat Al Abriyeen itself, where you’ll get to see the charming traditional houses and learn about the history of the Al Abri tribe that settled here hundreds of years ago. We’ll also take a walk through the farms and see firsthand how the villagers cultivate the land to create a natural oasis. After all that exploring, it’s time for a lunch stop, where you’ll have the chance to try some delicious local cuisine. Sur Coastal city tour

Welcome to the Sur Coastal City Tour! As the capital of the Asj Sjarqiyah South region in northeastern Oman, Sur is a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century. It was once a thriving center for trade with East Africa, and later came under Portuguese rule before being liberated by the Omani imam Nasir ibn Murshid.

Our first stop on the tour is the Dhow Ship Factory, where you can witness the traditional craft of building these wooden sailing vessels that have long been used for trade in the region. These days, demand for dhows is declining and only a few shipyards remain in operation along the western shore of the lagune.

Next, we’ll visit the Maritime Museum Fatah Al Khair to learn more about the history of Sur and its role in the region’s maritime trade. Here you’ll find displays of old maps, artifacts, and other exhibits that showcase the city’s past.

After the museum, we’ll take a ride on the Hanging Bridge, a unique feature of Sur that offers breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding area. The bridge is suspended above the Khor al-Batha lagune and provides a unique perspective on the city.

We’ll then make a photo stop at the Lighthouse of Sur (Al Ayjah), a historic beacon that has helped guide ships safely into the port for centuries.

After all the sightseeing, it’s time to take a break for lunch. We’ll stop at a local restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal and refuel for the rest of the tour.

Jabreen & Bahla Tour

Welcome to the Jabreen & Bahla Tour! Our journey begins as we pick you up from your hotel in Muscat and head towards the town of Bahla. Along the way, we will enjoy the stunning views of the Omani landscape and get a taste of traditional Omani hospitality with a welcome amenity of dates, coffee, and wet wipes.

Our first stop is at the iconic Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 13th century. We will take a photo stop to capture the beautiful architecture and history of this fortress.

Next, we will visit the bustling Bahla Souq where you can browse through a variety of local handicrafts, spices, and traditional Omani items.

After that, we will make a stop at a local clay factory where you can witness the traditional process of pottery making and even try your hand at it! The entrance to the factory is included in the tour.

We will then head to Jabreen Castle, another impressive structure built during the Al Ya’ruba dynasty in the mid-17th century. You will have the opportunity to explore the castle independently with an audio guide that is provided at the entrance and which lasts about 25 minutes.

After a full day of sightseeing, we will make a lunch stop on the way back to Muscat where you can enjoy a delicious meal and refuel for the rest of the journey. Along the way, we will also provide snacks like nuts or chips and water to keep you hydrated and refreshed.
