Hike through heritage, nature, and mountain life in Oman’s Green Jewel.
Join us on a scenic and cultural trek through Jabal Akhdar, a highland paradise in the Al Hajar mountains known for its cool climate, dramatic canyons, and terraced farms. This Three Village Hike is a guided walking trail that starts in Al Aqar, passes through Al Ain, and ends in Al Sherijah — three charming mountain villages steeped in tradition and surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
Your journey begins with a private 4WD pickup. After reaching the highlands, the trek starts:
-Al Aqar Village – Walk among traditional mud-brick homes and learn about local mountain life.
-Al Ain Village – Enjoy panoramic views of terraced farms and orchards carved into the cliffs.
-Al Sherijah Village – Discover ancient stone ruins and hear stories of the region’s history.
After the hike, we’ll continue by vehicle to a stunning canyon viewpoint, followed by a visit to fossil rocks, where you can see ancient marine fossils embedded in the mountain stones. The tour ends with a relaxing lunch at Layali Al Jabal Al Akhdar Restaurant, offering delicious food and scenic mountain views.
This experience combines nature, history, and authentic culture — perfect for hikers and explorers seeking a deeper connection to Oman’s highlands.

Special Note :-
- The Mountain involves rough terrain with rocks to Its advised to wear Trek or sports non slippery shoes.
- Children under the age of 7 ore not advised to book this
- Jabal Akhdar has cooler weather throughout the year, especially during winter (November–February). Carry a light jacket or warm clothes.
- The trek includes rocky paths, uneven steps, and village trails. Trekking or non-slippery sports shoes are highly recommended.
Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat/cap are advised during sunny days. - The hike is moderate and involves uphill and downhill walking on natural terrain.
Modest and comfortable clothing is recommended while visiting traditional villages. - Not recommended for guests with serious mobility issues or fear of heights.
